Biographie

Ringo Starr, né Richard Starkey à Liverpool en 1940, est le batteur des Beatles à partir de 1962. Il poursuit après la séparation du groupe une carrière de chanteur, de musicien et de compositeur, avec notamment « It Don’t Come Easy », « Photograph » et « You’re Sixteen ». En 1989, il forme le All-Starr Band, dont le principe donne à chaque musicien la possibilité d’interpréter des chansons de son propre répertoire. Ringo alterne les passages au premier plan et l’accompagnement derrière la batterie. Il demeure le point commun à toutes les formations, tandis que les partenaires et certains arrangements évoluent.
