À l’occasion de son soixante-dix-septième anniversaire, Ringo Starr a annoncé la sortie de son 19ème album solo. Il s’est entre autre entouré de Paul McCartney, Joe Walsh, Peter Frampton et Glen Ballard Ringo Starr a annoncé aujourd’hui que son dix-neuvième album solo, Give More Love, sortira en septembre prochain. Il s’agit du premier album de l’ex-Beatle depuis Postcards from Paradise, sorti en 2015. En février, Starr avait révélé qu’il travaillait de nouveau avec son ancien camarade, Paul McCartney, ainsi que le guitariste des Eagles Joe Walsh – accessoirement beau-frère du musicien.

30 juin 1973. George Harrison supplante Paul McCartney au sommet des charts américains avec « Give Me Love (Give Me Peace On Earth) », un single planant extrait de son quatrième album solo, Living in the Material World Trois ans après l’incroyable succès de All Things Must Pass, George Harrison retrouve ses collaborateurs favoris – à commencer par un certain Ringo Starr – afin d’enregistrer ce qui deviendra Living in the Material World. Chanson-phare de l’album, « Give Me Love (Give Me Peace On Earth) » incarne alors parfaitement les valeurs humanistes et spirituelles dont Harrison se réclamait alors.
