« Standing Still » est la cinquième chanson du 19e album studio solo de Ringo Starr, Give More Love, paru en 2017.
La chanson a été coécrite par Starr et Gary Burr.
Gary Burr a fait partie de Ringo and the Roundheads pendant des années, et nous sommes amis depuis. Aujourd’hui, Gary est avec Georgia Middleman, et c’est une excellente auteure-compositrice et une fille de la country. Gary et moi avons écrit cette chanson ensemble, puis Gary et Georgia sont revenus pour faire les harmonies. C’est formidable d’avoir sur son disque des gens que l’on aime. Je pense toujours à faire un album country, mais je ne sais pas si je le ferai chez moi ou à Nashville. Je suis allé à Nashville pour enregistrer avant beaucoup de gens, mais, ces derniers temps, c’est Nashville qui vient à moi. Et que dire de Greg Leisz au dobro ? Il joue avec tellement d’émotion, et ça a été formidable de le trouver.

« Standing Still » fut le dernier des quatre singles extraits de Give More Love. Il est sorti le 8 septembre 2017, une semaine avant l’album.
