{“Hi there!
after three years of work I proudly announce my new book Rock Show – Die (Ex-) Beatles in Deutschland 1971-1980.
The Beatles grew up in Germany. Also after the break-up in 1970 the four former members of the Fab Four returned there on and off. Beginning with the first concerts of Paul McCartney’s new group Wings author Axel Korinth presents for the first time ever all the ex-Beatles’ visits to Germany during the Seventies. This rock show leads the reader through concerts, TV appearances, press conferences, shootings and excesses in Hamburg, Munich, Berlin and elsewhere. During his research the author unearthed long forgotten facts, countless never before seen pictures and a profound interview and in this form never before published interview with Ringo Starr dating from 1976. A comprehensive discography as well as a compendium of all movies and TV programs dealing with the Beatles seen on German TV and at the cinema completes this book.
This is the follow-up to the acclaimed book Komm, Gib Mir Deine Hand – Die Beatles in Deutschland 1960-1970 published by Thorsten Knublauch and myself in 2008. The book is written in German but IMHO the unpublished pictures (many of them in colour) are worth the price alone. Furthermore all press conferences, concert announcements and interviews are transcriptions and thus written in English!
A limited edition can be ordered directly from the author (35.90 in Germany, 44.50 in Europe, 49.80 elsewhere). Each copy will be signed and numbered. All orders in advance will also get a CD containing regards by George Harrison recorded in Munich in 1977. This subscription will end on May 10, 2011. Orders can be sent to rockshow@komm-gib-mir-deine-hand.de
All the best,
Axel Korinth}
