Il ne fait guère de doute que le concert événement de la légende vivante des Beatles, du dernier des Mohicans de la musique, ou de l?un de ses derniers représentants, est voué à rester dans l?histoire.
Paul McCartney est un artiste génialement doué mais aussi extrêmement généreux.
Quelques chiffres d’abord : déjà plus de 30 000 places ont été vendues, malgré le prix élevé. Plus que 20 000 à écouler ! Mais l?on ne se fait pas de soucis. Il est à parier que le public israélien répondra présent. Pourquoi ? Parce que les israéliens ? cela doit être dit – est très mélomane et connaît ses classiques. On en veut pour preuve le grand succès remporté par les dinosaures de Deep Purple lors de leurs concerts ces derniers jours. Oui, Israël est le pays de la tradition certes, mais de la tradition musicale également. En d?autres termes, Israël connaît la musique, littéralement !
Nous parlions de prix élevés, en effet. Les places les moins chères sont vendues 490 shekels, soit 100 euros environ, pour une place debout ou assis sur le gazon du Park Hayarkon ! Si l?on aborde l?option tribunes, on doit alors débourser ? 1500 shekels ! Pour ceux qui veulent rêver, rappelons-leur le prix d?un billet VIP : 5000 shekels !
Pour ce qui nous occupe vraiment, la partie technique, l?équipe des quelque 100 roadies (staff technique) de Sir Paul est déjà au travail. On le comprend aisément lorsque l?on sait qu?une scène géante, de 900 mètres, doit être peaufinée. Tout doit être fin prêt pour la mise en ?uvre des effets visuels, qui nécessiteront pas moins de 20 générateurs électriques ?
Et la musique dans tout ça ? Tenez-vous bien, voici les grandes lignes d?une set-list (liste des titres prévus) qui nous fait déjà saliver.
La prestation de Macca devrait s?étirer sur plus de 3 heures d?un bonheur auditif promis. Et comme on peut bien s?en douter, la majorité proposée sera extraite du répertoire des Beatles. Quelques chefs d??uvre dores et déjà annoncés : Michelle (incontournable !), Let It Be (suprême !), Eleanor Rigby (on adore !), Lady Madona (version Beatles bien sûr !), Something (l?un des rares titres écrits par George Harrison, et l?un des joyaux du groupe !), Come Back (énergie assurée !), Hey Jude (mythique, mais rien à voir avec la religion dominante en Israël !), Back in The USSR (souvenirs, souvenirs !), The Long and Winding Road (miracle musical !), Sergent Pepper?s Lonely Hearts Club Band (psychédélique à souhaits !), Penny Lane (exquis !), I Saw her Standing There (balade inouïe !), One Day In The Life (référence ultime !), Got To Get You Into My Life (must absolu !), etc. ?
On arrête là la douce évocation, on en tremble déjà ?
La carrière Wings de l?artiste ne sera pas non plus oubliée.
Dernière chose : en apothéose de cet événement est prévu un spectacle pyrotechnique, pour clôturer, avec l?hymne extrait de la Bande originale de James Bond : To Live and Let Die.
