His previous titles include: « The Beatles Records on Vee-Jay; » « The Beatles’ Story on Capitol Records, Part One: Beatlemania & The Singles; » « The Beatles’ Story on Capitol Records, Part Two: The Albums; » « The Beatles On Apple Records; » and « The Beatles Are Coming! The Birth of Beatlemania in America, » which contains a foreword by Walter Cronkite and is considered the definitive book on how Beatlemania evolved in America. His articles on the group have appeared in « American History, » « Goldmine, » « Beatlology Magazine, » « Beatlefan » and « Day Trippin’. »
Spizer has appeared on CNN, Fox National News, ABC’s Nightline and Good Morning America, CBS’ Early Show and morning shows in New York, Los Angeles, Chicago, Washington, D.C., Houston, Cleveland, Seattle, New Orleans and other cities, and is a frequent guest on nationally-syndicated and local radio shows such as NPR’s All Things Considered, BeatleBrunch and The Beatle Years. Spizer has been a guest speaker and panel moderator at Beatlefest and other Beatles conventions in New Jersey, Chicago, Los Angeles, San Diego, Boston, Nashville, Orlando and other markets, and was the featured speaker at the 2001, 2002 and 2004 National Record Show held at the Rock ‘N’ Roll Hall of Fame & Museum in Cleveland. He recently anchored panels on the Beatles held at the Museum of Television and Radio in New York, the Lincoln Center and the Hard Rock Café in New York to commemorate the fortieth anniversary of the Beatles arrival in America. He is also serving as a consultant for the recently opened Beatles exhibit at the Experience Music Project in Seattle.
