L?ex-Beatle a refusé d?annuler le concert qu?il doit donner à Tel-Aviv pour célébrer le 60e anniversaire d?Israël. La sécurité de ce concert sera assurée par des agents secrets armés en raison des menaces d?attentats- suicides.
Un militant islamiste du nom d?Omar Bakri a affirmé que si M. McCartney tenait à sa vie, il ne devait pas venir en Israël. Omar Bakri, qui vit au Liban après avoir quitté le Royaume-Uni en 2005 et en avoir été banni, a laissé savoir que le musicien ne serait pas en sécurité s?il se rendait là-bas.
