Julian Lennon : sa news-letter

C’est en ce jour que Julian Lennon adresse à ses fans sa news-letter, que nous vous livrons ci-après.

Hi folks!

The National Trust has been in touch with Mum and me to tell us about the restoration of Dad?s childhood home, Mendips. Mendips at 251 Menlove Avenue, was where John lived with his Aunt Mimi from the age of 5 to 23.

John often practised his guitar out on the front porch, and it was there that he composed and rehearsed many of the songs that were to become his legacy.

The National Trust acquired the house last year and it has been restored as closely as possible to how it would have looked when Dad lived there as a child and teenager in the 1950?s and 1960?s. Now it is to open to the public, and tours begin on Saturday 29th March 2003. For more information check out www.spekehall.org.uk/mendips.htm

Some of you have been wondering what news there is on the album and film I talked about a couple of months back. If you remember I recorded a duet and background vocals on a track called ?Hold Tight? for Third World. The album, ?Ain?t Givin? Up?, was released last September in Japan, but it is only recently that the band has found a distributor for Europe and North America and now we?ve heard that the album will hit the shops in May!

As regards the film ?Taff?s Gold?, the producers are still waiting on the second half of the grant money. Although filming was supposed to begin this month, that now looks a little unlikely. I hope I?ll still be involved but the final filming schedule may end up clashing with my other commitments ? watch this space!

All the best

Jules
