This CD features songs of artists who were inspired by the blues, having their compositions or recordings played in pure blues style by some of the worlds leading blues musicians. Possibly the greatest white exponent of the blues ever has to be Eric Clapton. Through the Yardbirds, Bluesbreakers and Cream, Clapton established himself as the foremost bluesman in the UK while never losing sight of the fact that it was thanks to the great blues artists of America that he was inspired to develope his playing style. Interpreters include Buddy Guy, Bo Diddley, Ann Peebles, Koko Taylor and Otis Rush.
