Amazon.fr Price: 23,85 (as of 27/11/2022 16:03 PST- Details)

Slowhand, the fifth full-length solo studio album by Eric Clapton was released on 25 November 1977 by RSO Records, and titled after Clapton’s nickname; it remains one of his most commercially and critically successful studio records. Slowhand produced the hit singles ‘Lay Down Sally’ and his best known solo-number ‘Wonderful Tonight’. The album reached various international music charts and was honoured with numerous awards and recording certifications. • In early February ’78, Clapton and his band went out on the road to tour the album, beginning in Canada but soon moving south to the US for the remainder of the month, plus through March and April. His support on the tour came from John Martyn, whose ‘May You Never’ was covered by Clapton on Slowhand. • On 5th April the group performed at the Springfield Civic Center in Massachusetts, where they put on quite an extraordinary show which was recorded for live FM radio broadcast across the North East of the country. • Featuring, Eric Clapton on Guitar and Vocals, George Terry on Guitar, Dick Sims on Keyboards, Carl Radle on Bass, Jamie Oldaker on Drums and Marcy Levy on Backing Vocals, the concert lacked nothing is musicianship or ambiance. Previously unreleased however, this new CD now houses the entire concert Eric Clapton and his band played in New England on this pleasant spring evening some 45 years ago. Tracks: 1. The Core 8:30 2. Worried Life Blues 5:11 3. Peaches And Diesel/Wonderful Tonight 9:17 4. Lay Down Sally 6:36 5. Rodeo Man 3:32 6. Fool’s Paradise 4:10 7. Cocaine 4:55 8. Double Trouble 6:35 9. Badge 7:47 10.
