• While the 1980s were generally seen as a rather tepid period in the career Bob Dylan, by the 1990s (save for his first album of the decade) the wind appeared to have changed. • His roots albums from mid-decade were well received and by then his live shows were back on track too. It is from this era that the three CDs which make up this new box set emerge, all taken from FM Broadcasts of the relevant concerts. • DISC ONE here features Bob’s set from the Hollywood Rock Festival in Rio De Janeiro, Brazil on 25th January 1990, hot on the heels of the release of his ‘back-to-form’ Oh Mercy! album. Featuring largely a favourites set with a couple of Mercy’s numbers thrown in for good measure, the show was one of Dylan’s finest for a number of years. • DISC TWO finds Dylan at Woodstock 2 in 1994, at which the great man appeared, having missed the original 1969 festival (despite living in Woodstock at the time). Featuring another ‘best-of-the best-of’ set, as any festival crowd would expect, his performance on the day remains a festival highlight. • DISC THREE here concludes the set with a 1995 concert Bob Dylan gave at the Laguna Seca Raceway, in Monterey, CA, on 27th May 1995.
