The title of this album that appeared on vinyl in 2019 is a quote from Elvis himself, in answer to a question from Marion Keisker at Memphis Recording Service. She asked him, “What kind of singer are you?”, and Elvis simply replied, “I sing all kinds.” And that’s exactly what this album reflects.
Apart from the titles that appeared on the vinyl version, it includes twelve bonus tracks that demonstrate not only how eclectic the King was, but also show the immense possibilities of that unique voice, which moves with the same assurance between rock’n’roll and gospel, classical and country music, and from ballads to the blues. According to Gregory Sandows, Professor of Music at the University of Columbia, “It’s the most unusual voice I’ve ever heard!”
